Practicing my sound effects with these.

There is something about all the angles in #1 that I sort of enjoyed. #2 is sweet in a way, and evokes some emotions in me. #3 is very dramatic. Its exagerated in a fun way.

Your sound effect experiments were crazy. I liked the first one the best...it was the most effective. Nothing about the 2nd experiment was really special. The first one was cool. That's coming from someone who hates doing sound effects (and it usually shows), so consider the source!

I love your style generally. I think it goes far beyond some of the amateur manga efforts you sometimes see out there. I'd like to see a whole story (or a couple of pages in sequence) done this way. Or just more of your work as you finish it...

Very Happy

Mark

Thanks guys.

Mark: I appreciate your comments and critiques. I used to really hate using sfx. My thing was, since I’m more the fan of Japanese comics, how would I be able to translate the art of Japanese sfx to English? So I did those few practices and I figured it out hehe. I’m trying to start drawing and self-publishing a comic with the phonograph girl, but it’s hard to find the time *cries*.

Ambianceart: Funny you mention Tokyopop, because I’m trying my best to get published with them. It would be a dream.

Thanks again.

Keep it up, your almost there! You have a very traditial manga style. you see alot of American/manga hybrids but this look very true to the style.

I really dig your work.
